The person behind the work
I’m Montadar “Monty” Kammona, a Knoxville-based builder and the founder of MK Studio. I work through two lenses: the engineer who ships it and the product mind that decides what’s worth shipping.
I started MK Studio to capture my creative design in my own way, as my own form of digital art. Along the way I realized my work could be artistic and useful at once: telling a story and building a business at the same time.

As a full-stack engineer, I can build anything from data pipelines to web applications. I enjoy every layer of it, especially designing the systems that let those solutions scale.

Outside of work
I train calisthenics and bodyweight strength, and I’m getting into freestyle calisthenics: dangerous (but fun) swings on a pull-up bar.
I love to travel, and wherever I go I’m trying new foods and cuisines. Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food are my favorites.
I read books well outside my comfort zone and field of expertise. Right now it’s The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco.
